Environmental policy
As an FA (Factory Automation) system manufacturer, we strive to reduce environmental impact through all corporate activities, including design, production, and service.
To achieve this environmental policy, we present the following action guidelines:
- We comply with environmental laws, regulations, ordinances, agreements, and other requirements to which we agree, and strive to prevent pollution and protect the environment.
- We set and manage environmental objectives within the scope of what is technically and economically feasible. We also continuously improve our environmental management system through regular reviews to enhance environmental performance.
- Development of environmentally friendly and socially responsible products
- Environmentally conscious business activities
- Management of hazardous chemicals
- To achieve this environmental policy, we aim to raise awareness of environmental conservation by informing all employees of the policy and conducting environmental education.
Initiatives to Reduce CO2 Emissions
We are committed to protecting the Earth's environment and achieving a sustainable society by reducing CO2 emissions. As part of these efforts, we have implemented the following measures:
- Transition to LED Lighting
We actively introduce energy-efficient LED lighting, replacing conventional lighting systems.
This initiative aims to significantly reduce electricity consumption and minimize CO2 emissions.
- Introduction of CO2-Free Power Supply Options
We use CO2-free power supply options based on renewable energy sources at our facilities.
This helps us aim for zero CO2 emissions from electricity use and contributes to reducing our environmental impact.
- Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Reduction
As part of our efforts to combat global warming, the Ushio Group is actively working to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. We have obtained an independent assurance report as third-party verification of our GHG emission levels. Our Nagaoka Plant, as a key site within the Ushio Group, has undergone this audit.

Introduction to beautification activities
"At our company, we emphasize contributions to the local community and environmental conservation by regularly conducting beautification activities both within and outside our premises. Within our facilities, we aim to provide a clean and comfortable working environment through activities such as employee-led litter picking and beautification efforts. Additionally, we actively participate in community beautification initiatives, including cleaning around public facilities and joining local events, fostering stronger ties with the community. These efforts are positioned as contributing to sustainable social development, and we plan to expand our activities further in the future."
